For a little while I have been collecting prints, with the idea of hanging them up eventually. Initially I wanted them all in my office but they didn't fit (one of the many downsides of a small office) so they sat on top of my desk, which seemed silly. I looked all over for plain white frames and couldn't find any nice ones. Thats when I said screw frames and decided to go old school! The best part about this idea was that I already had the supplies. All you need is a string and clothespins. I had tiny ones lying around because I love mini things and have a habit of buying something if its a miniature (even if I don't know what to do with it). If you don't have any you can get some at Michaels or a dollar store. I just tied the string around my bed posts and attached the prints with the clothespins. If you DO NOT have a post bed, you can put a tiny nail in the wall and tie the string to that. I love how it came out and that I can change the prints easily (not that I will!) This can also be done with photos in a nursery or over a desk. The ideas are endless!
The title of this "weekly" post has been changed! As you already probably know, I don't always post on the same day. I don't want to feel bad that I'm posting on Tuesday for "Monday Morning Coffee". This way I can still make the effort to post once a week but the day can be flexible. And I don't have to be annoying at the beginning of each post and say "I meant to post Monday but blah blah blah".
Let's catch up! Grab some coffee and join me!
So excited to have added Dream Catchers to the site! They are so fun to make and there are so many color combinations. I have about 10 already made, that you can find in the dream catchers section. But if theres a combination of colors you were interested in or something specific you had in mind, I would love to work on a fun combination together!
Last weekend I did a yoga workshop with two amazing ladies! They have a company called "Two Fit Moms" where they have great yoga tips as well as recipes and other fun stuff. The workshop was amazing! I had so much fun balancing on my hands. I really want to deepen my practice and I am thinking about canceling my gym membership! Seems like not a big deal but I've been a member for 9 years! I always loved going to the gym but after I started practicing yoga it got harder to go and I was less into it. Now I have to drag my butt there and I don't enjoy it. Going to try and practice yoga 5 times a week for the next two weeks and see how that goes (3 down this week).
This guy :) We went on a fun little date to this amazing restaurant. It's a Mexican place, called Besito, but its a little fancier than your average Mexican joint. They have fresh guac that is delish. I just had s really nice time spending some alone time with my guy. I think I just really wanted to post this picture because it actually is a good one! ;)
Memorial Day I went to the beach for the first time this season. Jeff is a lifeguard there so I try to go as often as I can. My friend Tara from school came with me and it was such a nice relaxing day. I haven't really had a day in a while where I was worrying about all the things I had to do. It was a much needed break. I should do it once a week (and wear a lot of sunscreen because boy am I white)!
Thanks for hangin' out! I did my nails while typing this and hopefully they're dry now because I need to get my butt out of this chair!
Enjoy your week!
