I wanted to make a blog showing you detailed pictures of how I organize my crafts. Not to help my case of OCD, but to help you if you're a crafter and need tips on how to organize certain supplies. I know organizing craft spaces can be difficult and frustrating, especially when you don't have as much space as you need or want. I hope you find it helpful!
I love my little "pails". I saw them in the ikea catalog and knew they would be perfect. Of course when I went to Ikea they only had a moss green color. I got some yellow spray paint from Michaels and problem solved! Thanks to my dad who is much better with spray paint than I am! It is important that I have everything at my finger tips, so these are great. They also work very well for kitchens, for utensils etc.
It's very difficult to find somewhere to store 10+ 12 x 12 scrapbooks. Regular book shelves don't fit them and they're too heavy to put on certain wall shelves. Because this shelf has bars I had to have my dad put down a piece of wood so they didn't slip through. They're getting a little dusty up there now that I spend every single spare second making things for my shop!
This paint holder actually is an old milk crate from an antique store. I was looking for one for a while to do exactly this. When I got it it was a bit rusty, luckily I have a dad who loves to fix things, he cleaned up the metal and gave the wood a finish. "It was thirsty", he said. I love how you can see all the colors without taking the paint out.
These containers are from the container store (notice a trend). They have them in EVERY size and they are amazing. I initially had all baskets on this shelf, but soon realized I needed a new system. They work well because you can see through them, add labels and they stack nicely. They also work great for a playroom or really any room around the house.
